These interactive workshops explore interfaith dialogue and why it’s important. Our volunteers from diverse faith and belief backgrounds visit schools and speak to pupils about their faith and beliefs\, either in class or as part of an ‘interfaith day’ held by the school\, or during school assemblies. SUMMARY:Holocaust Memorial Day Service at Gordonstoun
DESCRIPTION:We are supporting a special service at Gordonstoun School in honour of Holocaust Memorial Day. \nWe will be honouring the memory and achievements of Gordonstoun founder Kurt Hahn with the unveiling of a plaque by The Association of Jewish Refugees (AJR). The service will mark his courage in publicly standing up against the Nazi party as it rose to power in the 1930s\, and his subsequent flight to Great Britain.This forthcoming HMD marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau\, the largest Nazi concentration camp complex.
