DESCRIPTION:Join Interfaith Scotland’s workshop for youth and community workers who are keen to learn how to best support people from different religion and belief backgrounds.\n\nIn this session you will have an opportunity to develop your awareness of some of these diverse needs including dietary needs\, fasting\, holy days\, festivals\, prayer\, clothing\, religious symbols\, participating in sport and physical contact.\n\nWe will discuss ways in which you might further understand and provide support for these diverse needs in your local settings so that people from these religions and beliefs can fully participate in their community whether in education or youth and community work settings or in wider society.\n\nTo book your place please email Frances Hume at frances@interfaithscotland.org. You will be sent the Zoom link to join the event once your booking is confirmed.

SUMMARY:Holocaust Memorial Day Service at Gordonstoun
DESCRIPTION:We are supporting a special service at Gordonstoun School in honour of Holocaust Memorial Day. \nWe will be honouring the memory and achievements of Gordonstoun founder Kurt Hahn with the unveiling of a plaque by The Association of Jewish Refugees (AJR). The service will mark his courage in publicly standing up against the Nazi party as it rose to power in the 1930s\, and his subsequent flight to Great Britain.This forthcoming HMD marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau\, the largest Nazi concentration camp complex. This year also marks the 30th anniversary of the Bosnian genocide and we will focus on what we can learn from both. \nPlease note: This event is by invitation only. \n📌 Sunday 26th January (11am-12pm)\, Gordonstoun School
