Retirement of Interfaith Scotland Director and Appointment of Interim Director

After 23 years at Interfaith Scotland our amazing Director Dr Maureen Sier retired in December 2025.
Maureen has been an incredible leader and guiding light for Scotland’s interfaith community. We cannot thank her enough for what she has given over the years and we wish her all the best with her retirement.

On her retirement, Maureen said: “As I step down from my role as Director of Interfaith Scotland may I take this opportunity to; thank you for your support, wish you a blessed 2026, and introduce you to our Interim Director Frances Hume.”
The Interfaith Scotland board has appointed current member of staff Frances Hume as the Interim Director until March 2026.
On Thursday 4th December Maureen presented the annual interfaith lecture in Glasgow ahead of Interfaith Scotland’s AGM.
The lecture was a reflection on Maureen’s 23 years at Interfaith Scotland, including her time as Director, and marked the start of her retirement.
You can watch the lecture on our YouTube channel.
