Apply to be on Interfaith Scotland’s National Interfaith Youth Advisory Board
We are looking for young people aged 18-30 from a range of faith and belief backgrounds to join our youth board. You will represent young people on a national level with opportunities to influence Scotland’s social and political future.
This is an excellent opportunity to meet young people from diverse backgrounds and work towards creating a more inclusive Scotland.
Board meetings are held 3 times a year and you will be asked to advise on social and political issues from an interfaith perspective.
You will represent young people on a national level with opportunities to influence Scotland’s social and political future.

Seat categories
You may apply to occupy any of the following two types of seats on the board
- Faith and Belief Community Seat
Any young person aged 18-30 from all beliefs and none may apply for this seat.
- University or College Seat
The university/college seats have been created to ensure representation from students on the board and have points of contact with student faith communities and chaplaincies. Any young person aged 18-30, studying at any Scottish college or university may apply for this seat. Note that if your application is chosen you will be asked to provide proof that you are currently studying at the institution you have chosen to represent.
In case you satisfy the criteria for both categories, you may choose the ‘Both’ option on the application and we will assign your seat if your application is chosen. The duration of board membership will be up to 2 years.
